Happy Summer to my fellow Portlanders!
It's been a hot summer so far, something we Portlanders are certainly unaccustomed to in the Pacific NW. Be sure to take care with your guitars and other instruments, as temperature fluctuations are bound to wreak havoc with older acoustic instruments. Wood will expand and contract with changes in temperature and humidity, so avoid places next to windows with a lot of sun for your instrument, whether in a case or not, and certainly don't leave them in the car - ever! With this heat, it's important for me to remember these things as my guitar is older than I am and just turned 40 last year!
