About the Instructor

Rory Kenner is a guitar instructor whose experience involves the academic study and performance of guitar art music. Areas of his study range from the renaissance to modern times: Celtic and folk, roots, classic and contemporary rock, contemporary and classic country, punk, ska, reggae, funk, experimental electronic and others styles. Rory began playing music at age 9, and his studies have included many instruments such as piano, clarinet, percussion, and voice. Kenner has had over 15 years of primary studies in guitar performance.

Students can expect to be instructed in music reading, learning interpretative styles, fretboard theory and guitar technique. Whether the student desires to learn classical or contemporary styles of music, goals will be met through the traditional pedagogical, one-on-one teaching style.
